Our Countryman's polenta uses traditional Italian cornmeal combined with a selection of rustic vegetables and herbs. We love to fry the polenta as a delicious snack, or you can even serve it as a an alternative to pasta, rice or potato.
Items to Add: 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, 1/2 tsp salt, finely grated Parmesan cheese (to taste).
Cooking Instructions: Serves 2. Bring 750ml salted water to boil in a saucepan. Add the pack contents and reduce to a simmer for 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in the olive oil and serve with grated Parmesan cheese. Alternatively, pour into a tray and leave to set. Slice and fry for 3-4 minutes each side.
Ingredients: Pre-cooked yellow maize meal (95%), dehydrated vegetables (5%) (peppers, carrots, onions, courgettes, aubergine), dried herbs (chives, parsely, basil).
